Introduction of I.C.U. ambulance

It has been almost 20 years since the arrival of I.C.U. Ambulances in Iran; before that, there were no equipped ambulances for transporting patients for intensive care and I.C.U. The equipment of these ambulances is not small, and they are increasing day by day. The attention paid by the universities of medical sciences and the Medical Emergency Management Center has caused Iran to reach international standards in terms of ambulance services.

Suppose you ask people who were fighting during the Holy War. In that case, they will tell you about the I.C.U. Ambulance equipment. At that time, the ambulances were equipped with only one stretcher and a small amount of equipment such as an oxygen capsule cylinder. After a while, the authorities decided to provide ambulances with essential equipment such as breathing kits and the like. These breathing kits contained an aluminum bag with four breathing equipment types, each of which had its own exciting and unique function.

  • Equipment in respiratory kits

But the equipment in the bags is as follows: A small automatic respirator that had only two modes, Infant and Adult, which was an automatic amobag, a small glass suction device that worked with oxygen pressure, a 2-liter oxygen cylinder, and a tester to test the respirator. These were the tools that were in the bag—many I.C.U. Ambulances were even used to transport patients who needed a ventilator.

As we move forward, this equipment will increase in ambulances, as I.C.U. Ambulances are currently used to transport critically ill patients. This indicates that the ambulance is equipped.
